Holly really didn't mind working out. She was one of those people that understood that she needed to, especially since she had never really restricted what she ate. Now, she didn't mind doing it, but if she really had to choose between working out or doing something else, she would probably choose that something else. Now it wasn't that she didn't like to sweat or get dirty because that wasn't the truth. She really just hated doing someting that wasn't a group activity. She loved being around her friends and her peers. She loved people and loved connections between people. When you were lifting weights or running on a treadmill, you usually couldn't carry on entire conversations and have them work out very well. That was the reason that she would prefer not to work out. Now because she had to keep in shape for certain movies and what not, she was required to work out, so she had narrowed it down to a few things that she actually liked doing. Yoga, pilates, some weight training, nothing major or too crazy. The one thing that she insisted on was if she needed to run that she do it outside.
There were a list of reasons that she would prefer to run outside but the main one was that she could actually get some fresh air if she ran outside, plus California was so gorgeous that there wasn't a real reason that she would need to be on some treadmill. It's not like it snowed all kinds in L.A. Plus, she felt like she had actually accomplished something when she was running outside rather then on some machine inside a dimly lit gym. So that's where she was. She was running, not like a cheetah or anything crazy, but she was steadily running. She had gotten up that morning, ate her bowl of wheaties and made her way to get ready. She had thought about taking her dog, but she just knew that it would be torture for the small creature and she didn't want that.
Pulling her hair into a high ponytail, she plugged in her ear buds and started out her apartment complex. She made her way to the beach were she ran down it a couple of times and then made her way to the small park that was near her house. She had run about a mile by the time she got to the park and after about fifteen minutes she was breathing rather heavily and she could feel the sweat building up around her neck and forhead. 'Hot mess' by cobra starship, which was one of her new found band loves, was playing in her ears and she felt pumped for another round, she headed down one lane and as she was making her way up the next, she slowed down and then came to a complete stop. There was someone she knew sitting on a bench, so she jogged over and sat down, breathing heavy. "Didn't expect to see you here." Holly said as she moved the dial on her armband, turning down the volume, and she removed the earbuds.
