COULD HAVE GIVEN UP SO EASILY I WAS A FEW CHEAP SHOTS AWAY FROM THE END OF ME, TAKING FOR GRANTED MOST EVERYTHING, THAT I WOULD HAVE DIED FOR JUST YESTERDAY. "Mommy, mommy, mommy! Wake up, wake up!" A little girls voice rang through the metal sheets; nuts, bolts and everything else that was holding the bus together in one piece. It also rang through the pillow currently laying over a blonde female's head as she lay in a small bunk space, with a four year old girl sitting on her stomach. For a fleeting moment, the blonde's mind panicked. Mommy? But... I'm still a virgin. Then it realised the mistake and forced her eyes to open, allowing for the harsh rays of the morning sunlight to gleam directly into them. Biting back an early morning profanity for the sake of the little girl on her stomach, Miss. Scarlett Autumn Archer; lead singer and keyboardist of the (very famous) one man band; 'burn some memories'' carefully sat up, with the help of her elbows, propping her slender frame up. The little girl slid down her stomach a little and shuffled backwards, onto her legs. Emily (the little girl) wasn't Scarlett's daughter, she was in fact her niece. She had been granted guardianship over the little girl after she had made the difficult decision to switch off her sister's life support machines a little under three months ago. Emily knew that Scarlett wasn't her mommy, but still decided to call her so - which Aspen didn't mind, too much. In time she knew that Emily would learn and there would be a day where she would stop calling her mommy; but for now she was perfectly content with being called it. "Mommy, are you awake... ?" Emily giggled, poking Scarlett's stomach with a tiny hand before moving to stretch herself out, across her body; thumb in her mouth. Scarlett smiled faintly and entangled her fingers into Emily's hair, sighing softly and looking up at the ceiling of the small bunk she, so very often, shared with her niece. "As awake as I'm ever going to be this early in the morning, darling." She mumbled, twitching her nose to one side and poking Emily's nose gently. The little girl giggled.
"Come on, lets get up, dressed and go out for breakfast today." Scarlett spoke softly to the little girl as she swung her legs over the edge of the bunk and placed her feet onto the solid ground. A couple of months ago her bunk had been the top one, but since she gained Emily, Scarlett had taken up the bottom bunk on the left hand side; suitable for both herself and Emily. Wrapping an arm around her, she then carefully stood up and did her usual look around the bus. Still as messy as it was normally. Shaking her head lightly and letting out a small chuckle, Scarlett gave Emily an Eskimo kiss and moved with her to the bathroom. Cleaning themselves up for the morning adventure, she then moved them into the room with all the suitcases and started to pull out bits of clothes for them to wear. "Do you want to wear your jeans with the new coat, we got for you yesterday?" Scarlett asked the tiny brunette female who was jumping up and down on the bed next to her. A small nod and a large smile confirmed the answer as a 'yes' and Scarlett pulled out a few more clothes. Changing herself into a pair of super skinny jeans and a Hello Kitty tee that was obviously miles too big for her (though it was actually in her size), she pulled a pair of red Nike's onto her small feet and then grabbed Emily around the waist; tickling her stomach. Recieving a round of giggles from the petit girl, Scarlett quickly changed her into a pair of jeans, a brown flower tee and added her new coat, black shoes and a white hat. "We're off to see the Wizard.." The redheaded musician giggled, setting Emily back down so that she could grab her coat and put it on. "..the wonderful Wizawd of Oz!" Emily replied jumping from the bed onto Scarlett's back. A small oof noise escaped her mouth, but she did nothing, except bounce of the room and tour bus.
A little while later, Scarlett had set Emily down on the ground and they'd walked together holding hands. It was a nice day out, if a little cold, but it didn't matter since they were both dressed warmly. They arrived at the mall around ten thirty in the morning (after having not gotten up until at least nine in the morning), it was only just beginning to really fill up with lots of different people - mostly Californians.. which was kind of stupid to say. A blast of hot air surrounded them for all of three seconds once they hit the inside of the mall and that was it. Scarlett turned her head in two directions; first looking for the board that had the map of the mall on it, so that they didn't get lost, and secondly to see where the food places would be. Locating the food places before the board, Scarlett led Emily up the escalator and came to an abrupt halt at the top. "What're you hungry for, sweetie?" She asked the four year, who suddenly decided that Scarlett's leg was worthy of a hug. Tilting her head at the small person with her arms around her leg, Scarlett smiled faintly and looked around at the places to eat. "Subways? We can have a cookie." At the mention of 'cookie', Emily dettached herself from Scarlett's look and took up her hand again, smiling up at her and nodding enthusiastically. Skipping to Subways, Scarlett picked Emily up in her arms and moved to the counter (after getting through the door, of course); there was a couple of people in there whom recognised her - especically the assistant behind the counter. The musician tried her hardest not to blush and stutter as she ordered the sandwiches; cookies and drinks. Emily giggled away like a lunatic and wouldn't stop until Scarlett had paid for the food and sat them both down at the only free table in the small store. Both of them sat and ate their food, looking up once when the door opened.

Amelia loved every season. There was just something about each one that she really just adored. Spring had all the bright colors, winter had all the warm coats, summer had dresses and fall had those lovely dark colors. Every season was something to be adored, perhaps that particular outlook came from her mother's artistic side or maybe it was just how she enjoyed the world around her. Whatever the case she was the type of person to be outdoors. She spent most of her career indoors shooting on sets or filiming on sets so when she got the change to just be outside she did. Of course she had a dual purpose for getting up and going out that morning. She had to get her hair done. Now, of course she was a natural brunette, she just had all sort of pick me up colors added so that she had that little extra pop to it. It was a silly indulgence but one that she always enjoyed and never went crazy with. She loved her hair and thought it one of her better features.
The appointment had lasted a little longer then she had planned so she had to reschedule her lunch meeting with a production company, which was just fine. The only problem arised in the fact that she was extremely hungry. She had some shopping that she really wanted to do, and then had to meet for dinner with those clients, so she didn't have a done of time for anything extravagant. Making her way to the mall, she parked her car, and looked in the mirror for a final check up. Everything in place she headed out and made her way into the gigantic store. Spotting the food court, she made a bee line and then stopped dead. Now she had to figure out if she wanted subs, chinese, pizza or chicken, all good choice for the palate all bad choices for your health. She was about to start coin flipping when she saw a pair of girls sitting in the sub sandwhich window. She smiled widely and headed in that direction. Pushing through the door, she turned and spotted the red head and the little brunette. "Emily!" She spoke in her semi-husky voice that had garnered her attention even at a young age. She moved towards the table where the two girls were sitting and gave the youngest wide a warm hug. Letting go, she stood up to her full height and turned towards Scarlett. "Hey you, how ya been. I'm gonna order and then pull up a seat, if that's fine with you two?"
She swung her bag onto her shoulder, her gold colored nails sparkling and headed towards the counter. Ordered her Spicey Italian and watched as it was made, wrapped and placed in a bag with a bag of Lays and a bottle of water. Turning she headed back to the table. "So what are you gorgeous ladies doing today?"

COULD HAVE GIVEN UP SO EASILY I WAS A FEW CHEAP SHOTS AWAY FROM THE END OF ME, TAKING FOR GRANTED MOST EVERYTHING, THAT I WOULD HAVE DIED FOR JUST YESTERDAY. Subways was the best darn sandwich place ever. End of story. So, naturally, since Emily loved the place (mostly because they had cookies and Emily loved cookies), Scarlett didn’t mind at all if they went there to eat for breakfast- at least it wasn’t someplace like McDonalds, or some other fast food chain that she loathed. Generally speaking the musician didn’t mind going to a few of those fast food chains to get a milkshake or an ice cream, but she’d definitely never go to one to get a meal. She was a vegetarian and the idea of eating animals that had four legs or four stomachs; it was totally gross- though she understood that basic law that in order to survive you had to sacrifice the weak, and then she never understood why and how cows, pigs, chickens, lambs and rabbits were considered ‘weak’, when some of them were stronger than humans- like the cows! They had three stomachs did they not? So how and why were they considered weak? It was beyond her comprehension at the moment.
Scarlett was busy flailing around with a freaked out Emily who, somehow, managed to end up with sweet corn in her sub (something she didn’t like), so, the red head was trying to get the sweet corn out of the sub as someone she knew, quite well, walked up the path to Subways and entered the establishment. Of course when Amelia called out Emily’s name; the little four year old girl beamed widely and held her arms out for the hug. Scarlett, however, was still trying to get all of the sweet corn out of the kiddie sub. She did, however, look up when she felt Emily move off of the seat next to her and Amelia focused her attention onto Scarlett- it was around the same time she finished getting all the sweet corn out of the sub. Scarlett looked up at Amelia and smiled warmly at her, brushing her fingers with a napkin. ”Hey, Mia.” Emily took her seat back at the table and started to eat her sweet corn free sub, proudly swinging her legs under the table gently. ”It’s perfectly fine by me, it’d be nice to chat for a while.” Watching Amelia walk away to get her order for a moment, Scarlett shook her head; she really did look great and it really would be nice to have a chat with her friend.
Unwrapping her own sub, Scarlett brushed her hair out of her eyes and flicked her gaze to Emily to check that she was okay- it seemed like it. The little girl was nibbling away at her tuna salad sub happily. Scarlett smiled, picked up her own Tuna salad sub and took a bite. Just as Amelia walked back to the table, she unwrapped two straws and shoved them through the plastic lids of their ordered drinks (a sprite for Scarlett and a Fanta for Emily). ”Not an awful lot really, we’re having a lazy day.” Scarlett answered with another smile. Emily put down her sub, brushed her hands off and beamed at Amelia. ”Mommy said we could get breakfast out today, and then I think we’re going to the park.” Everyone that knew Scarlett knew that Emily wasn’t really her child, even though the four year old still called her ‘mommy’, the red head didn’t mind. Emily was still going through a transition; though Scarlett knew that she should probably correct her, she didn’t. ”We’re going to the park? When did this happen?” She laughed lightly and turned back to Amelia. ”We might go to the park, how about you? Everything going good?”
